Linkwash (“the app”) is made by chirpet.com. It removes tracking from links, and it is designed to collect nothing about you.

What we collect

Nothing. Linkwash has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party SDKs. We do not collect, store or sell personal data, and we do not track you across apps or websites.

How links are handled

• Links are cleaned on your device. The links you paste or share, and your history, stay on your iPhone (history can be turned off or cleared in Settings).
• Short links (for example b23.tv or amzn.to) are opened from your device, without cookies, to find the page they point to. The short-link service sees that request, as it would if you opened the link yourself.
• Cloud fallback (on by default, can be turned off): if your device can't reach a short-link service, the short link — and nothing else — is sent to our server, which opens it and returns the destination. The server keeps no copy and writes no logs of links.
• Rule updates: the app downloads updated cleaning rules from our server about twice a day. The request contains no identifiers.

Service providers

Our servers run on Cloudflare (worldwide) and Alibaba Cloud (for mainland China). Like any web server, they see your IP address when the app connects; we do not store it. See the privacy policies of Cloudflare and Alibaba Cloud.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details. The number of free cleans you have used is stored in your device's keychain.

Children

Linkwash collects no data from anyone, including children.
